Meyler street school activities. Development classes. [American Junior Red Cross] Taken for Visual education section, Lucille Lane - March 1949. AVES No. 15966 [American Junior Red Cross had a campaign from March 1-31, 1949. Students knit scarves, rolled bandages and built furniture for hospitals and convalescent homes. They prepared and sent Friendship Boxes containing school and personal items to students overseas. They worked in Victory Gardens (vegetable gardens that added to the nation's food supply) and raised funds.
