Description |
Mountain with some snow, trees in foreground. Framed in a cream painted carved wood frame measuring: 32 (H) x 42 (W) inches. The painting depicts a Sierra Mountain landscape. A metal plaque affixed to the front of the frame with the artist's name, titled and inscribed: "Presented by the Summer Class of 1924." Two paper labels are affixed to the reverse. The first with artist's name, title, dimensions and price of 600.00. The second label reads: "Artist – Franz Beschoff [sic] Presente [sic] by – Summer Class of 1924." Description Modified: 12/15/2022 Cracking. The painting with overall surface soiling; three small areas of pigment loss; pigment craquelure; canvas dry and brittle with visible stretcher bar marks.
