Description |
The painting depicts a group of nine children engaged in various outdoor activities. Two children are chasing butterflies, three children are reading under a tree, one child is picking flowers, one child is holding a rabbit, and the remaining two children are running around in the background. It is framed in a black wood frame measuring 34 x 27-3/4 inches. A brass plaque affixed to the frame reads: "In Memory of/Jane Perez/Assistant Principal/Meyler Street Elementary/1984". Politi donated many pieces to LAUSD schools and it is assumed this is a gift from the artist circa 1984. Description Modified: 7/28/2010 |
