The award is a hexagon that measures 11.5" x 10" and made out of dark brown wood with a gold metal plate riveted on . The metal is engraved with "Business Letter Writing Contest / 1985 / First Place / Lisa Moenpaa / San Pedro / High School / Sponsored by / Transamerica Financial Services / For / Los Angeles City Schools" On the ULC and URC, there’s a gold figure leaf and verso of the award, is a picture of five people, four dressed in a white dresses and holding certificates. On the left side of the picture, there seems to be a judge. The second person to the right has an arrow inscribed with pen and seems to be Lisa Maenpaa. LC there is a sticker that says "Designed by SO. CALIF, TROPHY CO., 2515 South Broadway, Los Angeles California, 90007, Tel # (213) - 623 - 3166." |
