Description |
The mural measures 300"h x 3,240"w (actual)and is a stylized depiction of the school's mascot, a flying parrot. The parrot is executed in reds and yellows. Depictions of "Crazy Horse Determination", "Cesar Chavez - Leadership", "Confucius - Wisdom", Mother Teresa - Compassion", "Martin Luther King - The Dream" and a graduate. A banner of flags from different nations spans the length of the mural and a slogan "WE’RE ALL ONE HUMAN RACE". This high school had a mural making class that painted murals within the school’s campus and outside including a local elementary school. The mural pays tribute to civil rights leaders from different cultures and features the school’s mascot in the center and a graduating senior on the far left.
